Terry Yegbe calms speculation about his future
Birmingham City FC, a club competing in the English Championship, currently appears to be leading the race to secure the services of IF Elfsborg's Ghanaian defender, Terry Yegbe.
In an interview with Fotbollskanalen, the player—who has registered 15 appearances, one goal, and one assist this Allsvenskan season—sought to cool down the rumors about his future:
It was my teammate Buhari Ibrahim who showed me the rumor yesterday. I told him I didn't know anything about it because I asked my agent not to tell me anything about the transfer window. I just want to focus on Elfsborg, no matter what happens next.
Linked with clubs such as Brighton, Fulham, Crystal Palace, RC Lens, and Cologne, the 24-year-old Ghanaian defender doesn't hide his ambitions:
Of course, I'd like to move one day. But when I hear too many rumors, it distracts me. So I prefer to stay focused here.
A transfer fee between 3 and 6 million euros is currently being discussed, according to Expressen. While waiting for a final decision, Yegbe remains focused on his performances with Elfsborg, currently sixth in the Swedish league.
