Marc-André Ter Stegen arrived back in Barcelona from a short vacation. The Barça goalkeeper was asked whether he would renew with the Catalan club.
“We’ll see.”, answered Ter Stegen, pointing towards the fact that it will not be easy for Barcelona to agree on a deal.
Ter Stegen’s renewal is Barça’s main priority. The club considers his renewal a priority due to his weight on the team. He could renew until 2025 and his salary would grow gradually. Talks have already resumed and are on the right track.
The German goalkeeper has undoubtedly been one of Barcelona’s best players in recent years, sharing the team’s weight on his shoulder with Lionel Messi. The club is very eager to renew with him, but the 28-year-old naturally demands a pay rise.
Ter Stegen will take the coronavirus tests at the training center today before resuming training tomorrow at 9:30 am.
