Tenerife striker Samuel Shashoua is close to committing to the USA.

The 22 year-old is a former England youth international, but is now committing to the USA.

His father, Marc Shashoua, has dual Egyptian and American citizenship.

Shashoua came through the system at Tottenham, before leaving for Tenerife last season.

He has scored five goals in 14 games with the Segunda Division.
