Real Madrid pair David Alaba and Eder Militao.
According to reports, Premier League giants Man Utd are interested in signing Real Madrid and Austria defender David Alaba this summer.
The Red Devils are set to buy Inter Milan goalkeeper Andre Onana for around £47m. He will be their second summer arrival following Mason Mount’s £55m move from Chelsea.
While United are looking to sign one or two new strikers, they are also in the market for a defender who could compete with Raphael Varane and Lisandro Martinez. They would also replace Harry Maguire, who the Red Devils are hoping to offload for around £35m.

AS Monaco’s Alex Disasi and Napoli’s Kim Min-jae are among the players they have been linked with in recent months, but according to Spanish outlet Nacional, they are turning their attention to Alaba, who is valued at €40m by transfermarkt.
The 31-year-old joined Real Madrid in 2021 following the expiry of his contract at Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich. The versatile defender played 39 times for Real Madrid last season, but he only started 21 games in La Liga.
The report claims ‘another Casemiro case points to an unexpected exit to Man Utd‘. Alaba is being compared to the midfielder, whose move to Old Trafford came out of nowhere last summer.
Alaba’s links to Man Utd have apparently ‘gained strength’. He is ‘considering the idea of listening to the offer prepared by the Red Devils’, who are ‘guaranteeing a much higher fee’ than Real Madrid.
Ten Hag is ‘optimistic’ that a deal can be struck, with the head coach believing that ‘he will be able to seduce the former TSG Hoffenheim or Bayern Munich player to betray Florentino Perez’.
The report finishes by saying ‘United will try to buy him as long as Florentino Pérez is open to negotiations’. And this tells us that this transfer is not as advanced as Nacional dramatically make out (what a shock).
Regarding Maguire, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano claimed earlier this week that United are “struggling to find buyers”.
“I’m aware of reports on Harry Maguire’s price tag proving an issue, but I think it’s a normal moment on the market where almost no one is signing centre backs, apart from Tottenham working on some players in that position,” Romano told Caught Offside.
“So it’s understandable if United are struggling to find buyers, because the domino has not started yet.
“Maguire remains available on the market for sure. But he’s also prepared to fight for his place in case nothing will happen. He will speak to Erik ten Hag in the next days.”
