We will soon see the Cristiano Ronaldo interview in full, along with the inevitable reaction. I guess I am most interested in what Roy Keane and Rio Ferdinand have to say since they’ve both defended his appalling behaviour this season.

Ronaldo made matters worse for himself tonight when Piers Morgan teased a new exclusive interview with the Portuguese veteran. He stressed that he felt betrayed at Old Trafford, hit out at former United team-mate Wayne Rooney, and suggested that Ralf Rangnick was never the right man to manage at this level.

The interview has been described as explosive but it won’t be fully released until Thursday. It is likely to attract a lot of media attention to Talk TV, who are hosting the interview by Piers Morgan.

However, Sky Sports reporter Kaveh Solhekol has an early inside scoop from the United squad. He claims that Eriik ten Hag and his players are “extremely disappointed” with the manner and timing of the interview.

On top of that, Solhekol claims the club only found out about the interview as they prepared to fly back from London after beating Fulham 2-1 at Craven Cottage.

The journalist adds that United are likely to consider all options regarding Ronaldo.

Ronaldo has certainly disrespected the club again – and I think we’ve reached a point where it would be best for him to leave the club in January. He was told on Thursday that he would not be in the starting XI against Fulham, which is when he reported ill.

There’s also a line – presumably from the club – that they never disrespected him.

Surely there is no way back for him now?
