Telstar close to signing striker with Keuken Kampioen experience from Ligue 2 | OneFootball

Telstar are expecting to strengthen their ranks with Kay Tejan. The 28-year-old Dutchman is joining permanently from French Ligue 2 club Dunkerque.

According to Voetbal International, Telstar’s search for an extra striking option has turned to Tejan. Tejan is currently under contract with Dunkerque, but boasts of experience with FC Volendam, Quick Boys, Kozakken Boys, and TOP Oss in the Netherlands. He has also enjoyed international adventures with Moldovan FC Sheriff Tiraspol and Polish LKS Lódz.

VI’s Rob Aarts writes that now the final details need to be ironed out, and then Tejan will officially be a Telstar player. It was always his dream to play in the Eredivisie. He had, however, previously played in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Playing for TOP Oss, he scored 17 goals and provided seven assists in 51 matches.

Telstar have so far earned one point from their opening three Eredivisie matches. The newly-promoted team have only scored twice. Tejan is the second player, after Maxence Rivera (SC Heerenven), to leave Dunkerque for the Eredivisie.
