Inter Milan striker Francesco Pio Esposito and midfielder Ebenezer Akinsanmiro are both close to joining Sampdoria on loan.
This according to today’s print edition of Turin-based newspaper Tuttosport, via FCInterNews.
Last summer, Inter sent a couple of players out on loan to Sampdoria.
Goalkeeper Filip Stankovic and striker Sebastiano Esposito both spent last season at the Blucerchiati.
And this time around, it looks as though there will be more transfer business between Inter and Sampdoria.
For one thing, the Nerazzurri are keen to sign teenage defender Giovanni Leoni. Reportedly, their plan is to sign him this summer and then loan him back to the Ligurian club.
Then, there are also likely to be players heading the other way.
Sampdoria are gearing up to have another run at promotion to Serie A under Andrea Pirlo next season.
And there are a couple of players who they are ready to bring in from Inter to do so.
Firstly, striker Pio Esposito is close to a loan to the Blucerchiati, reports Tuttosport.
The 18-year-old spent last season on loan with Spezia in Serie B. This was his first experience in senior football
Lecce had shown an interest in bringing Esposito to the top flight. And from Serie B, the likes of Reggiana and Palermo had also targeted the 18-year-old.
However, it is Sampdoria who are close to loaning in Pio Espiosito, reports Tuttosport.
And then, the Ligurians are also close to bringing in midfielder Akinsanmiro.
The 19-year-old has already made his senior debut for Inter after starring for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera or Under-19 side. He came off the bench in a Serie A match against Lecce last season.
However, next season Akinsanmiro will get more regular minutes at senior level with Sampdoria.
Moreover, Tuttosport anticipate, there may be one more Inter player who the Blucerchiati target on loan. They are also aiming to reinforce by signing 21-year-old wingback Mattia Zanotti.
