There aren’t many things in football better than a perfectly-timed volley.

Norwich City fans are likely to nod in agreement at that statement after what their striker Teemu Pukki produced tonight.

The Canaries were struggling to get back into the game after finding themselves 1-0 down against ten-man Newcastle in a vital clash at the bottom of the Premier League.

That was before the ball dropped to the Finnish striker in the box from Dimitris Giannoulis’ cross.

Pukki caught it perfectly in the air, on the volley and watched as the ball rocketed into the top corner.
