Jason Tindall continues to take the team as Eddie Howe recovers from pneumonia, but the assistant manager has opted to stick with the same starting XI which has picked up 12 points from the last four league games either side of winning the Carabao Cup last month.

Joe Willock does, however, return to the bench after following concussion protocols. He replaces Sean Neave among the substitutes.

Nick Pope is in goal, with Kieran Trippier, Tino Livramento, Dan Burn and Fabian Schär making up the defence. It's Trippier's 200th Premier League appearance and his 100th start for the Magpies.

Joelinton, Sandro Tonali and captain Bruno Guimarães are in midfield, with Jacob Murphy and Harvey Barnes out wide and Alexander Isak in a central attacking position.

Willock is joined on the bench by Callum Wilson, Anthony Gordon, Matt Targett, Emil Krafth, William Osula, Sean Longstaff and Lewis Miley, with Martin Dúbravka the back-up goalkeeper. Gordon would make his 100th appearance for Newcastle should he enter the fray against the Eagles.
