Manchester United duo Anthony Elanga and Amad Diallo take part in open training session ahead of Atalanta clash

According to the Manchester Evening News, teenage Manchester United duo, Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga featured in an open training session ahead of the upcoming clash against Atalanta.

The Red Devils are going through a rough patch of form, but will have all their stars available for the UEFA Champions League clash against Atalanta on Wednesday besides the injured Raphael Varane.

The Frenchman made the move from Real Madrid this summer and has featured prominently for the club until he picked up a knock during international duty.

However, the frontline is completely fit, although Bruno Fernandes was not seen in the training session. Regardless, there is no ‘worry’ amongst the camp regarding his availability to face the Italian club.

Two players who did join training were starlets Amad Diallo and Anthony Elanga. The former played for the senior team last season but was supposed to be sent out on loan this summer before he suffered an injury.

Diallo is now completing his recovery process. Elanga, on the other hand, made his senior debut for the club on the last day of the 2020/21 season and also found the back of the net.

He was then given chances by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in pre-season, where he also found the back of the net on two occasions. However, given the depth in their frontline, the young duo might not feature for the club anytime soon.

While that could be the case, injuries to some crucial players in the lineup could lead to either one being bumped up to the first-team squad. Full of energy and potential, the duet could add a lot of energy and enthusiasm to the team– something that has been missing from the current lot of late.
