Robert Vilahamn confirmed that Luana Bühler and Drew Spence will be unavailable for this Saturday’s clash with Aston Villa in the Women’s League Cup.
The defender, who scored her first competitive goal for the Club last month in our 2-1 win over Charlton Athletic in this competition, has been ruled out of this weekend’s visit of Villa after picking up an injury in last weekend’s north London derby.
Drew, who has featured in every game so far in all competitions, will also miss the Women’s League Cup clash due to illness, while Maite Oroz and Kit Graham both remained sidelined.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday afternoon, he told the media: "Luana got a knock against Arsenal so she's out for a few weeks, Drew is sick and will not be in the squad for tomorrow, but, otherwise, everyone else is ready to compete for tomorrow."
In more positive team news, Robert revealed that Maite, who has been unavailable since early October, is making good progress in her recovery from injury with the Spain international returning for small parts of training.
"Maite is back doing warm-ups in training with the team, so she's taking steps but is still not ready for a few more weeks," he added.
