The Team K League squad will consist of one ‘Coupang Play Young Player’ (abbreviated as ‘CouPlayYoungPlayer’), eleven players selected via fan vote (‘Fan Eleven’), and additional players selected by the coaching staff.

First, the ‘CouPlayYoungPlayer’ was chosen through fan voting on Coupang Play from a shortlist of under-22 (U22) players submitted by the 12 K League 1 clubs. Centre back Han Hyeon-seo of Pohang received the most votes and was selected.

The ‘Fan Eleven’ is composed of 11 players chosen by fans. Based on each club’s Best XI nominations, the K League’s Technical Study Group (TSG) selected four candidates per position. Fan voting will be conducted through the official K League app, Kick, from 12 noon on Friday, 4th July until midnight on Sunday, 13th July. The final squad will consist of the top-voted goalkeeper (1), defenders (4), midfielders (3), and forwards (3).

Each user can vote once per day and must select 11 players in a 4-3-3 formation. A maximum of three players from any single club may be selected. Players who transfer to a club outside K League 1 during the voting period will be removed from the candidate list along with their vote tally. Players transferring within K League 1 will retain their votes, though their club affiliation will be updated.

Voting results will be updated in real-time, though the last three days of voting will be hidden. The final ‘Fan Eleven’ will be announced on Tuesday, 15th July. Fans who vote daily throughout the voting period will have the chance to win various prizes through a prize draw.

After the ‘Fan Eleven’ selection is complete, Team K League’s manager Kim Pan-gon, and coach Lee Jung-hyo will select additional players. Position balance and club representation will be considered during this process.

Tickets for the first 2025 Coupang Play Series match between Team K League and Newcastle United are currently on sale and can be purchased via Coupang Play.
