Team England Women win first Homeless Four Nations Tournament | OneFootball

Team England’s women – managed by Street Soccer London – won the first-ever Homeless World Cup 4 Nations Tournament in Edinburgh at the weekend.

The event, in which 64 players were competing, was the first of its kind since the Homeless World Cup in Cardiff in 2019 and Street Soccer founder and chief executive David Duke hopes that the Homeless World Cup will happen again in 2022.

He said: “Congratulations to Team England, who won the women’s competition and to Northern Ireland, who won the men’s title. These competitions mean the world to our players, many of whom have complex lives and challenges, and we’re optimistic that the Homeless World Cup, possibly the most inspirational sporting competition in the world, can go ahead again next year.”
