A firm no that shows, at 23, Jackson Tchatchoua already knows how to chart his own path.
Tchatchoua turns his back on Everton
Jackson Tchatchoua has made his choice. The 23-year-old Cameroonian right-back, a key player for Hellas Verona, has turned down Everton.
It’s a bold decision that comes as a surprise, given the English club offered him a great opportunity. But Tchatchoua wants something different. According to CaughtOffside, he prefers Wolverhampton, where a deal is already in place. The transfer is valued at £10 million. Only the contract length remains to be finalized.
Everton had hoped to lure him to the Premier League. Nottingham Forest, Milan, and Besiktas were also in the running. But the player opted for the stability of a clear project with Wolves. At Verona, he proved his full potential: 36 Serie A matches, two goals, three assists. Most importantly, his consistency has earned the trust of scouts. A 10-cap Cameroonian international, Tchatchoua is now looking to take the next step.
