Taylor Harwood-Bellis has taken to Instagram to share a message after sealing a loan switch to Stoke City from Manchester City.

Harwood-Bellis spent the first half of the season at Anderlecht before being recalled by the current Premier League leaders in order to facilitate a move to the Potters.

During his time in Belgium, the defender featured on 19 occasions for Vincent Kompany’s side in all competitions.

The 19-year-old will be hoping to make considerable strides in terms of his development by featuring regularly in the second-tier for Stoke in the coming months.

With the Potters set to face Hull City on Sunday, it will be intriguing to see whether Harwood-Bellis is handed his debut by Michael O’Neill during this particular fixture.

Currently eighth in the Championship standings, Stoke will be determined to close the gap between them and the play-off places by sealing a positive result in their meeting with the Tigers.

After his move to the Potters was announced, Harwood-Bellis admitted on Instagram that he is delighted to be at the club.

The defender “Delighted to be here!

“Can’t wait to get going!”

The Verdict

This could turn out to be a shrewd bit of business by Stoke if Harwood-Bellis is able to hit the ground running in the Championship.

With the defender keen to play a key role in the club’s push for a top-six finish, it will be intriguing to see whether he is able to fill the void left by Leo Ostigard whose loan spell at Stoke was cut short by Brighton & Hove Albion earlier this month.

Having featured on 19 occasions in the second-tier for Blackburn Rovers last season, Harwood-Bellis will unquestionably fancy his chances of making an instant impact at the bet365 Stadium.

Providing that the teenager quickly adapts to life at Stoke, he could end up thriving under the guidance of O’Neill who has managed to nurture the development of Tyrese Campbell and Harry Souttar during his time in charge of the club.
