Roma striker Tammy Abraham is unlikely to depart the Giallorossi after he picked up an ACL injury yesterday.

The Englishman was taken off late in the game during Roma’s 2-1 win over Spezia and it was later revealed by Sky Italia that the striker has now picked up an ACL injury for the first time in his career so far. He is now expected to be out for about five to six months, with his recovery period to extend till next season.

The report also states that Roma were willing to sell him in the summer and they valued him at a fee of €40 million. A host of Premier League clubs were interested in the ex-Chelsea man but the injury means that he is now unlikely to depart the club in the summer.

This season, Abraham has only eight Serie A goals and four assists and his goalscoring tally has come down from thr previous season at the Giallorossi.
