Despite not scoring in Roma’s win over Fiorentina, Tammy Abraham proved crucial in gifting Paulo Dybala two assists. The English striker continues to make a positive impact in the New Year after a disappointing start to the Giallorossi’s campaign.

“I’m tired, but happy at the same time,” Abraham told Roma TV after the game. “We had to win today and we did.”

“I usually tend to score, but today I made two assists and I’m very happy for Dybala and for the team. We must continue like this. People tell me I’m selfish, but it’s nice to show the other side of who I also am: I do not only score, but I also help the team.”

“I have to keep showing these other aspects, the most important thing is the victory and I will always do my best to get it, even if it’s by defending or assisting others. Dybala must enjoy this moment. It was nice when he pointed me out for the two goals, there’s a good connection between us. Now it’s up to him to assist me. He owes me.”

“We bought great players in the summer and now we are getting to know each other more and more. We have to keep pushing and do our best.”
