Taking on the Parisian stars together

Tuesday at 21:00 CET at the Red Bull Arena

In our sixth of eight league phase matches in the UEFA Champions League, we are at home on Tuesday 10 December at 21:00 CET to the French double winners. With a market value of close to 900 million Euro and a host of exceptional players like Achraf Hakimi, Lucas Hernandez and Fabian Ruiz, Paris Saint-Germain are going to provide an extremely difficult test.

Winger Ousmane Dembele is out suspended, but the visitors are still bringing a huge amount of star power to Salzburg - as well as plenty of pressure! As things currently stand, PSG are down in 25th in the table - outside the knockout stages. That clearly would not be something they can accept! Admittedly - they have faced a difficult fixture list so far with ties against Bayern Munich, Arsenal and Atletico Madrid. Their only win in Europe so far came on the first matchday with a 1-0 success against FC Girona. Luis Enrique's side are currently in first place in Ligue 1 with a five-point lead, even if it has been weeks since they took a win in their domestic league, too. Despite our role as underdogs, we also need a result. We are in urgent need of points if we want to have a chance of making the knockout stages, with two huge clashes against Real and Atletico Madrid still to come.

Our most loyal fans know that we have a good history against PSG. Back in December 2011, our Red Bulls took a sensational 2-0 win against the French side, sealed with a legendary Svento goal in the 90th minute. We would be delighted to see history repeat itself on Tuesday evening …

Close to 25,000 fans will definitely be there. If you still don't have a seat, you can get one in our online Ticket Shop.

PSG have huge individual quality, have dominated the French league for years and are top of it again. Even if they have a few problems at the moment in the Champions League, it will be a very difficult task for us. We have to perform against them as a team, be well organised and have the right attitude in the game. We are definitely looking forward to the next Champions League evening at the Red Bull Arena, as these matches are special for us.

Pepijn Lijnders

We are facing a real quality team on Tuesday. It is our aim to get a result though and focus on our own play, first and foremost. We will do everything we can to create an upset. We need real determination as a team and a strong performance from each and every one of us.
