In his official debut at Club Brugge, Tajon Buchanan roamed the left wing, and put in a fine performance.
“My first impression is that the level of football here is fine. I'm also happy to have helped keep the three points at home in my first game. Finally I was up for my debuty for my new team. I'm used to that position, having played it at the Canadian national team too. I was lined up on the left often too. In the end it doesn't really matter; I play wherever the coach puts me. I had a few chances; it's a pity I haven't scored, but the goals and assists will surely come in time. It was important to get those three points, and we succeeded. We just need to give it 110% in every single game.”
His debut was one worthy of witnessing, but unfortunately without the support of the fans. "I thought it was a good game. You don't know what to expect from your first game, really, you just try to adapt to the level of play. Unfortunately it was in an empty stadium. As a player, you always dream of showing what you've got to the fans. We can't just set aside what's going on around the world, it's something we have to make do. Let's hope the fans will be allowed in soon again.” (EV)
