The French-Comorian coach, available since leaving Mauritania, is eager to take on the Guinean challenge
Amir Abdou
Amir Abdou has officially submitted his application to become the next head coach of the Guinea national football team. He presented a clear project to the Guinean Football Federation as part of the recruitment drive launched this summer.
The Guinean Federation officially announced on June 13 the call for applications to replace Michel Dussuyer, who was dismissed after his return to the post in September 2024. In addition to requiring a CAF Pro or UEFA Pro license and solid international experience, Feguifoot is seeking a coach capable of reigniting the Syli’s ambitions for AFCON 2027 and the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Former Mauritania national team manager and coach of Hassania Union d’Agadir for the past four weeks, Amir Abdou has put forward his candidacy. The news was reported by the local press. “Regarded as a major supporter of the French-Comorian tactician, the FFRIM President is said to have personally called the new Feguifoot president Sory Doumbouya to convince him to choose his former employee, whom he himself eventually parted ways with,” reports Guinée foot info. Could Amir Abdou be the next Syli National coach? To be continued…
