Former Chelsea winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has offered his opinion on Andriy Shevchenko's struggles at Stamford Bridge.
Wright-Phillips believes part of the reason why he didn't make the cut was the underestimation of the Premier League.
He told the Daily Star: "In training it's always been a bit different.
"Obviously the tempo is high, and it was always set high under Mourinho, so it wasn't far off the match.
"But you can get away with lots of those things more in training than you can on the pitch without it being highlighted too much.
"For me I just think that people sometimes underestimate how tough the Premier League is.
"Sometimes you come from Germany, or you come from Spain or Italy, and you're in top-flight clubs there and you think you can just come across to England and you're going to get it just like that.
"To me, it very rarely happened, very few players come and hit the ground running. It goes to show, it's taken Kai Havertz a bit of time to get going, Timo Werner is still warming up.
"It's a credit to the Premier League, the teams and the players in it are making it so difficult for people."
