Portugal and Switzerland have got their Euro 2022 underway and the Swiss have burst into an early 2-0 lead.

Before the game had the chance to settle down the ball broke loose at the top of the box and, running onto it, Coumba Sow whipped a delightful shot into the bottom corner within 90 seconds.

Portugal were given little time to come to terms with their early deficit as Rahel Kiwic rose highest at the back post to head in Ramona Bachmann inch-perfect free-kick.

It will be a task for either of these sides to make it out of their group, but Switzerland have given themselves a chance – a very early one too.
