Lechia boss Tomasz Kaczmarek will see Castegren as a replacement for Bartosz Kopacz, who returned to his former club Zagłębie Lubin earlier in the transfer window.

There will be an option for Lechia to extend the player’s contract by 12 months, and Castegren will wear the no. 3 shirt in Gdańsk.
