Sweden have gone to the top of the FIFA women’s world rankings after finishing third at this summer’s World Cup.

The tournament was another impressive outing from Sweden, who also finished third at the 2019 World Cup, reached the semi-final of last summer’s Euros and won silver at the 2016 and 2020 Olympics.

Spain, who won the World Cup, rise from sixth to second as the USA drop from top spot to third.

World Cup co-hosts Australia drop from 10th to 11th after losing the third-place play-off, while Morocco are the biggest climbers, up 14 places to 58th after they made the knockout stages Down Under.
