It's a night Mamadouba Diaby won't forget anytime soon. Starting for Degerfors IF against IFK Göteborg on Monday evening, the Guinean full-back was sent off after just five minutes of play.

Booked for the first time in the opening minute for a foul on Alioum during a counter-attack, Diaby picked up a second yellow card just four minutes later after a poorly timed tackle. The result: Degerfors played with ten men for 85 minutes... and suffered a heavy defeat (3-0).

After the match, the player shared his regrets with Sportbladet's microphone, although he felt the second booking was harsh:

It's my fault. I apologized to the team and the fans. It hurts. Usually, you get a verbal warning. This time, it was a straight yellow. I don't agree, but that's football. I'm disappointed for my teammates who battled on. And for our fans who traveled to support us. Now, we have to move on.
