Cardiff City Women stayed eight points clear in the Genero Adran League Championship Conference, second-placed Swansea City won in front of a 2,000-strong crowd at Wrexham.

Championship Conference

Aberystwyth Town 0-2 Cardiff City Women (Att: 180) Wrexham 2-3 Swansea City (Att: 2,008)

Mikayla Cook and Seren Watkins scored in the last quarter of the match, as Cardiff City Women won at Aberystwyth to stay eight points clear at the top. Swansea City moved nine points ahead of third-placed Wrexham, who had opened the scoring through Lili Jones. Rachel Pinder’s penalty and a Monet Legall goal turned the match in the Swans’ favour, Rosie Hughes equalised in the last ten minutes but Ellie Lake grabbed a stoppage-time winner for City.

Pontypridd United 2-1 Barry Town United (Att: 84) The New Saints 3-1 Cardiff Met (Att: 65)

Pontypridd United picked up a first win of the season, 2-1 over Barry despite a late red card for Shannon Hindmarsh. Erin Murray and Madison Williams had Ponty two up, Aimee Deacon pulling one back from the spot. The New Saints beat Cardiff Met to go top of the table, Chelsea Cochrane struck first for the Archers but TNS hit back with three goals in 18 minutes, two from Chantelle Teare and one by Melanie Barlow.

Llandudno 10-0 NFA (Att: 157) Llanfair United 0-3 Connah’s Quay Nomads Felinheli P-P Bangor

Kelsey Davies netted a hat-trick as Llandudno notched double-figures against NFA, on the day they were presented with the North Division trophy. Connah’s Quay Nomads are three points ahead of Felinheli in the race for the runners-up spot, following a 3-0 win at Llanfair United.

Swansea University 5-0 Llanelli Town (Att: 20) Pontardawe Town 2-4 Briton Ferry Llansawel (Att: 56) Caldicot Town 0-4 Cwmbran Celtic (Att: 30)

Alison Witts and Fleur Jenkins each bagged a brace in champions Briton Ferry’s 4-2 victory at Pontardawe. Cerys Shipley scored twice in Cwmbran’s win at Caldicot that put them within two points of second-placed Cascade, while Swansea University got four goals after the break in their 5-0 result over Llanelli.
