Newcastle United will be hosting Wolves at the St. James’ Park in the Premier League this weekend. They won their recent game against Blackburn Rovers on penalties in the FA Cup 5th round. Hence, they would like to carry on the momentum.

The Magpies are ranking 10th in the Premier League points table with 37 points in 26 games. The contest is expected to be a close battle as both teams have almost equal quality. Wolves are just one position ahead in the domestic table.

Defence

Martin Dubravka will once again lineup in the goal for Newcastle United. He made some crucial saves in the previous game and helped his side emerge as winners. Kieran Trippier had a decent outing and will retain his spot in the side as the right-back.

While Fabian Schar will continue as the centre-back, will return after a rest and join him to form the pair. Jamaal Lascelles will be sent to the bench. Left-back Dan Burn will be once again crucial to make chances in the final third.

Midfield

Sean Longstaff and Bruno Guimaraes are going to retain their spots in the midfield. Both had a terrific game in the previous clash. It remains to be seen if Joe Willock will be able to recover in time for the clash or not. In his absence, Lewis Miley is likely to get the nod ahead of Joe Willock.

Attack

In the attacking line, Miguel Almiron is likely to come in place of Jacob Murphy, who struggled to make an impact in his previous game. Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon will continue to remain in the lineup. While Gordan enjoyed a good time against Blackburn Rovers, Isak couldn’t make much of the opportunity.

Callum Wilson (pectoral), Nick Pope (shoulder), Joelinton, Matt Targett (both thighs) and Sandro Tonali (suspended) will not be available for selection.
