Inter’s match against Juventus in the International Champions Cup could be watched by Suning owner Zhang Jindong, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
Antonio Conte is facing his former club in Nanjing this afternoon in what could be seen as a grudge match, having left Juve under a cloud in 2014.
The fixture could take on even more importance if Zhang is in attendance, however, following a key transfer summit with Inter’s hierarchy on Monday.
The Derby d’Italia is taking place at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre, a stone’s throw from Suning’s headquarters in the same city.
Inter lost against Manchester United in their first ICC match on Saturday, following a poor performance and a late strike from Mason Greenwood.
Conte is unhappy with the shortage of centre-forwards during this preseason tour, but neither Romelu Lukaku nor Edin Dzeko are close to joining yet.
His side will complete their summer tour by playing Paris Saint-Germain in Macao on 27 July, after which they will return to Europe for friendlies with Tottenham and Valencia.
