The Championship action returns this weekend with another full series of fixtures.
In one of Saturday’s marquee afternoon clashes, Sunderland play host to Preston North End.
The Black Cats will be looking to maintain their place in the play-off positions as they come into the weekend’s game in 5th.
Meanwhile, the Lilywhites will be aiming to put an end to a three game run without a win.
This will also be the first home game in the tenure of Tony Mowbray as manager of Sunderland, for which he will no doubt receive a warm reception from the Stadium of Light faithful.
Dennis Cirkin made his return to training on Monday so could be in contention to make his return to the Sunderland starting lineup in place of the impressive deputy Aji Alese.
However, it is not looking likely that Ellis Simms will be able to make his comeback to the side, which could leave Mowbray without a recognised striker given the absence of Ross Stewart.

Meanwhile, Ryan Lowe had a number of players absent during the break due to international commitments.
Fortunately, none have returned with any injuries so he should have a full strength squad to choose from for Saturday’s trip to the Stadium of Light.
1-0 win to Sunderland.
Is there a live stream?
The game is unavailable to watch in the UK due to the blackout rule. Sky Sports and the BBC will both provide live updates on Soccer Saturday and Live Score.
