Foot Mercato are reporting that Paris Saint-Germain are in discussions with Sunderland over the transfer of French right-back Colin Dagba (24).
The PSG youth product has failed to consolidate a place in the first team. The former France U21 international has played 77 times for his formative club since breaking through but spent last season on loan at RC Strasbourg Alsace. However, he didn’t do enough to convince Les Alsaciens, now owned by BlueCo, to make the move permanent.
There isn’t a place for Dagba at PSG either, and the Ligue 1 champions are therefore looking to sell. With two years left on his contract with Les Parisiens, Championship side Sunderland have opened discussions to sign Dagba on a permanent deal. Both sides are keen to make a deal happen.
Dagba would be the second player in as many years to trade the Parc des Princes for the Stadium of Light. Edouard Michut joined the Black Cats on loan last summer, but the deal was not made permanent.
