Sunderland are expected to face competition from a number of other Championship clubs for Bournemouth’s young forward Daniel Jebbison, according to Sky Sports News.

The Sheffield United academy graduate left Bramall Lane this summer to join Bournemouth on a four-year contract, with the Premier League club paying £1.5m training fee.

The club though do not consider him to be an immediate starter for Andoni Iraola’s side and want to send him out to gather experience on loan.

There is interest in the young striker from a number of second division clubs among whom are Regis Le Bris’ Sunderland.

However, the Black Cats are not the only club keen on Jebbison’s profile with West Brom also keeping close eye on the situation.

It now remains to be seen whether Sunderland can manage to beat off competition to sign the player on loan for the season.

Jebbison was on the scoresheet as Bournemouth beat Girona in a pre-season friendly last weekend.

He featured for just 20 minutes in Sheffield United’s final top-flight game against Tottenham in May.
