Sunderland boss Regis Le Bris says defender Jenson Seelt is fit to play against Burnley on Saturday.
The defender was forced off with an injury in the win over West Ham but the Dutchman is set to be included in the squad when Sunderland make the trip to Turf Moor.
“Jenson is fine, so that’s a positive,” Le Bris said.
New signing Nordi Mukiele could also be involved against Burnley, having joined the club from PSG last week, with Le Bris waiting to make a decision on whether he will be included in the squad.
“Nordi has trained partly this week with us so he is almost ready, we will make a decision on Friday as to whether we go with him this weekend or whether we wait for Tuesday.,” he said.
“Arthur (Masuaku) has trained normally this week, so he is ready.”
Le Bris also suggested he would like to add further defensive additions to his squad before the window shuts.
“We still want to reinforce the squad if it makes sense for the balance.
“I still think it’s possible in the back-line if we find the right player with the right level with the right mindset to reinforce the squad.
“We still have one option maybe but if it’s not the case, we will stay like that.”
