Olympique Lyonnais midfielder, Skelly Alvero (21) could be loaned to Werder Bremen or Sunderland AFC after seeing reduced playing time under manager Pierre Sage.
The midfielder only joined Lyon last summer when he was bought from FC Sochaux-Montbéliard for €4 million, but could already be on the move.
Alvero has yet to feature in any capacity since Sage was appointed as interim head coach for Les Gones on the 30th of November, and with the manager’s position made permanent until the end of the season, this could be the trigger for the young midfielder to seek out more opportunities elsewhere.
According to L’Équipe, the club had originally intended for Alvero to join their sister club in the Belgian league, RWD Molenbeek, on loan, but this option was rejected by the player. This led to Lyon beginning discussions with the Bundesliga side.
Werder Bremen have made an offer for Alvero, which would see the player join the team on loan until the end of the season, but with an option to purchase. However, it appears that they may face some competition, as it has been reported, that Sunderland have begun conversations with the French side over the young midfielder.
