FORT LAUDERDALE, Florida – The Leagues Cup 2025 Quarterfinals kicked off with Inter Miami CF securing a 2-1 win against Tigres UANL on Wednesday at Chase Stadium in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA.
Luis Suárez handed Inter Miami the lead in the 23’, with the Uruguayan striker finding the back of the net from the penalty spot.

Tigres nearly equalized in the 57’, with a long-range attempt from Diego Lainez rattling the left post.
Ángel Correa tied the match for the visitors in the 67’ with a finish to the far post from the left end of the box.
Suárez reestablished the lead for Inter Miami in the 89’, with another strike from the penalty spot to take his tally to three in the 2025 edition. The goal would prove the winner for the South Florida side to advance to the Semifinals.
