As reported by Kicker, Stuttgart’s Darko Churlinov is expected to arrive in England on Monday to undergo a medical with Burnley before joining the Championship club for around €5m including bonuses.

The 22-year-old was released from Stuttgart’s squad to face Werder Bremen in order to finalise a move to Vincent Kompany’s side, a deal that could be completed by midweek.

Churlinov spent last season on loan at then 2. Bundesliga Schalke, who wanted to sign the North Macedonian on a permanent basis but were unable to reach an agreement with Stuttgart – during his time at the Royal Blues, the attacker scored two and created six in 22 games.

Since joining Stuttgart from fellow Bundesliga side FC Köln in January 2020, Churlinov has played 24 games across all competitions, scoring three and creating one.

With two-years remaining on his current deal, but an offer of an initial €3.5m rising to around €5m seems to good to turn down for the Bundesliga side.
