Reports have suggested that VfB Stuttgart coach Sebastian Hoeness could be moving to a bigger club at the end of the season.

However, Stuttgart CEO Alexander Wehrle is adamant that the 42-year-old will not be leaving the Swabians anytime soon.

"I'm firmly convinced that we can keep him at VfB Stuttgart for a very long time. He knows what he has at VfB and we know what we have in him," Wehrle said in an interview with RTL/ntv.

Hoeness has a contract with Stuttgart until 2027, which reportedly includes a release clause.

With the 42-year-old having taken Stuttgart from relegation danger to second place and the Champions League, Wohlgemuth can see why he's attracting interest.

'It's clear that someone who is so successful will be noticed from the outside and by other clubs,' said Wohlgemuth, who believes Hoeness is in good hands at Stuttgart.

"I think there are very few clubs with so much potential and so much perspective.

“I know he wants to be at VfB. And that's what counts. We will be working with him for a very long time.”
