It’s always the opposite of what you hoped, isn’t it? Enzo Fernandez was given a rest for Chelsea’s last game to keep him fresh for this EFL Cup quarter final. So who is it who goes off with what looks like a muscle injury after less than half an hour? Enzo, of course.
He was struggling to get into the game at all, and there was a brief suspicion it was a tactical move from Mauricio Pochettino, but the word from the bench is that Jesus Perez and a member of the medical staff have gone with him down the tunnel.

Striker Armando Broja has come on for him to make it two up top. A goal down against good opposition at home, it’s the right move.
