Eintracht Frankfurt Women came from behind to beat Stade Reims 4-2 in their last friendly before domestic competition resumes.
Following the disappointing exit from the UEFA Women’s Champions League against Ajax last week, head coach Niko Arnautis’ side contested a friendly against Stade Reims on Sunday. SGE were below par in the first half against the French top-flight outfit and went into the break 2-0 down. However, they improved considerably after the interval and managed to turn the game around to win 4-2. “We started the first half well but then we didn’t defend well for two of their counter-attacks, and Reims scored twice,” said Arnautis afterwards. “We produced a different performance in the second half and quickly overturned the deficit. In the end we deserved to win by a two-goal margin.”
