Strong Anti-Suning Messages Unlikely At San Siro For Inter’s Serie A Clash With Roma Although Curva Nord Could Fly Banner, Italian Media Report

There is not likely to be a hugely prominent theme of protest against Suning’s ownership of Inter at this evening’s Serie A clash between the Nerazzurri and Roma at the San Siro.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who report that while there could be a banner flown against the owners by the Curva Nord ultras group, the sentiment will be muted as the fans look to get behind the team in a hugely important match.

Suning’s ownership of Inter has hardly been universally well-received as financial problems have mounted since the pandemic began, and the angry sentiments that have bubbled over on social media have started to spill over into the flesh and blood.

The Nord flew a banner around Milan demanding that Suning leave as owners during the international break, and the expectation is that they will do similarly at the San Siro this evening.

However, the broader mood should not likely be one of discontent and protest, with the majority of the fans including the Nord largely occupied with wanting to give the team their full support as they look to put their mixed start to the campaign behind them with three points against Roma.
