Strasbourg’s Habib Diarra suffers ankle sprain | OneFootball

Ahead of this weekend’s match against FC Nantes, RC Strasbourg Alsace have been dealt a blow. According to a report from L’Équipe, captain Habib Diarra (21) has suffered an ankle sprain.

The midfielder suffered the injury during the first-half of last weekend’s win away to AJ Auxerre. Diarra underwent an MRI on the injury this week, which revealed an ankle sprain. He will now miss several weeks of competition. He will miss the matches against Nantes and Toulouse FC, however, it is hoped that he will be able to face Olympique Lyonnais upon the return from the international break.

Against Nantes, Strasbourg will also be without Abakar Sylla, who is suspended, and Andrew Omobamidele. The latter will also miss the game against Le TéFéCé. Abdoul Ouattara also suffered an injury against Auxerre last week. He is contending with a hamstring injury and will be out until the upcoming international break.
