According to L’Équipe, Strasbourg have identified Anthony Lopes (33) from Lyon as their priority target as they look to sign a new goalkeeper this summer.
Despite contacts being established between OL and the Alsatian club, a deal looks difficult to complete. The BlueCo-owned club have also contacted the Portuguese international goalkeeper to express their interest in signing him. With Lyon planning to replace Lopes in goal this season following the arrival of Lucas Perri from Botafogo, the 33-year-old is not expected to receive many minutes at the Groupama Stadium.
Strasbourg have viewed this opportunity to sign an experienced Ligue 1 goalkeeper. Lyon are willing to let their academy graduate leave the club with a replacement ready to take his spot between the sticks this term. However, despite BlueCo’s willingness to match his salary demands, Lopes needs some convincing before a move can progress.
