According to a report from L’Équipe, Strasbourg are interested in signing Maxi Oyedele (20) from Legia Warsaw. The Racing club are ready to trigger a €6m release clause in the Poland international’s contract in order to sign the defensive midfielder.

BlueCo are no strangers to Oyedele. The 20-year-old impressed against Chelsea when Legia faced the Premier League club in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Europa Conference League. He played in both legs against Strasbourg’s sister club and showed versatility, playing both as an attacking and defensive midfielder.

Oyedele made his international debut for Poland in October against Portugal in the UEFA Nations League. He made 23 appearances in all competitions last season. The defensive midfielder is a graduate of Manchester United’s academy. Despite never making a senior appearance for the Old Trafford club, the Polish midfielder made his senior debut in England whilst on loan at Forest Green.
