Despite promising performances for RC Strasbourg Alsace victories have been hard to come by for the young team. A 3-1 victory against FC Nantes last weekend was only the club’s third win of the campaign, and they will be hoping to maintain their momentum against strugglers AS Saint-Étienne.
Manager Liam Rosenior has demonstrated a notable trend during his short time in charge of Strasbourg. The Englishman believes in a settled lineup and rarely makes unforced changes from week to week, and he is unlikely to make any changes from the team that defeated Nantes.
Sékou Mara who joined from Southampton FC over the summer made his first start of the campaign last weekend and will likely be provided another chance against Saint-Étienne. In midfield, Andrey Santos was the star of the show scoring twice. Rosenior will be unable to call upon Marvin Senaya from the bench after the right-back picked up a suspension for too many yellow cards.
