Strasbourg interested in Reims’ Amir Richardson | OneFootball

According to a report from Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace, RC Strasbourg Alsace are interested in signing Stade de Reims midfielder Amir Richardson (22).

Moroccan international Richardson had a strong first half of the season with Reims, however, his presence in the side waned going into 2024, as he made just five appearances for the club. He started none of Les Stadistes’ last four games of the season, garnering just a handful of minutes as the club secured a comfortable mid-table finish.

Strasbourg will lose Ibrahima Sissoko this summer with the midfielder reaching the end of his contract. Les Dernières Nouvelles d’Alsace understand that Les Alsaciens are considering a move for Richardson, whose contract at Reims runs until 2027. Patrick Vieira is a fan of Richardson, and given BlueCo’s youth-centric transfer policy since they took the helm at RCSA last season, it would be a transfer that aligns with the owner’s objectives.
