Strasbourg enter race for Premier League target Valentin Atangana | OneFootball

According to a report from Foot Mercato, RC Strasbourg have entered into talks with Stade de Reims for Valentin Atangana (19). Since BlueCo took over ownership of Strasbourg in 2023, there has been a youth-centric transfer policy at the club, and Atangana would fit that mould.

The teenager has been one of the names linked to a departure from a talented Stade de Reims squad, which couldn’t escape relegation to Ligue 2 last season. The midfielder is a France youth international and has become a key part of Gérald Baticle’s U21 squad.

However, they are not the only team looking to take advantage of Reims’ slip into the second tier. Foot Mercato writes that Stuttgart have also made contact with Reims, while Premier League clubs are thought to be in the mix. A race is heating up for a player with a contract that runs until 2027.
