Strasbourg beat Tottenham and AC Milan to Emanuel Emegha signing | OneFootball

L’Équipe are reporting that Racing Club de Strasbourg Alsace are set to beat Tottenham Hotspur and AC Milan to the signing of Sturm Graz forward Emanuel Emegha (20).

With the arrival of BlueCo, who also own Premier League side Chelsea, Strasbourg have an increased budget at their disposal. They are using it to rival top clubs for promising talent. The arrival of Abakar Sylla from Club Brugge is a huge coup, especially given AS Monaco’s very real interest in the player in January. At the time, Les Monégasques were priced out of a deal with the Belgian club’s demands deemed excessive.

They now look set to secure the services of another young talent in Emegha. Emegha, who last season scored nine goals and registered one assist in 27 matches in the Austrian top flight, is set to join for a €12m fee. His arrival is set to be officialised this evening. Premier League rivals Tottenham, as well as AC Milan, were both in the race to sign the young Dutch forward.

Emegha, who has an athletic profile, has been followed by Strasbourg and Chelsea in recent months and Patrick Vieira, the new manager of Les Alsaciens, is a big fan of the player.
