A year after leaving RC Strasbourg Alsace for the Saudi Arabian league, Habib Diallo (29) could make a return to Ligue 1 after a disappointing debut season with Al-Shabab where the Senegalese striker only scored five goals and assisted four in 33 matches across all competitions.
According to Foot Mercato, Strasbourg who tried to re-sign Diallo during the winter transfer window could return again in the current window to try and bring their former striker back to the club. Le Racing have reportedly begun negotiations with Al-Shabab to try and secure a loan, however, they will face stiff competition from Stade Brestois.
Brest have yet to sign anyone in the summer transfer window but are in the market to strengthen their attacking options after letting Steve Mounié (29) leave at the end of his contract and with Martín Satriano (23) returning to his parent club Inter Milan. Brest are also keen to secure a loan for Diallo and can offer the striker a chance to play in the Champions League.
