Ekstraklasa relegation battlers Jagiellonia Białystok announced a coaching change on Tuesday, with the departure of Maciej Stolarczyk after 9-and-a-half months in charge.

Stolarczyk leaves his role with the Żółto-Czerwoni hovering precariously over the relegation zone, two points ahead of the chasing pack – despite having only recorded one defeat, to league leaders Raków Częstochowa, in 2023. Wins have been hard to come by, though, with six draws from their nine games following the winter break.

The Jagiellonia board made their decision following Monday evening’s 1-1 draw at Stal Mielec, and ahead of back-to-back games against fellow relegation rivals Lechia Gdańsk and Korona Kielce.

The club have confirmed that second-team coach Adrian Siemieniec will take charge until the end of the season.
