There’s a big game in the race for the Championship play-offs at the Bet365 Stadium on Saturday afternoon, as Stoke City host Blackburn Rovers.

Blackburn meanwhile, thrashed Peterborough 4-0 in midweek, meaning they start the game just one position and one point behind their hosts this afternoon.

Stoke were dealt another blow on Wednesday when midfielder Joe Allen was sent off against Bristol City, meaning he joins striker Sam Surridge in being banned for this game.

Meanwhile, the Potters are also without a number of first-team players due to injury, with goalkeeper Joe Bursik, centre back Harry Souttar, midfielder Sam Clucas and Jordan Thompson and attacking duo Abdallah Sima and Nick Powell all unavailable.

For their part, Blackburn are still without attackers Sam Gallagher and Bradley Dack, as well as right-back Joe Rankin-Costello due to injury.

At centre back, Daniel Ayala was forced off during Wednesday night’s win over Peterborough, and could be replaced by Brighton loanee Jan Paul van Hecke, who is available again after completing a three-match suspension.
