After publicly bidding farewell to Boavista and its fans in early June, Robert Bozenik has been announced as a new signing by Stoke City.
The 25-year-old Slovakian has signed a three-year contract with the Potters after three years at the Portuguese club in which he scored 19 goals in 95 games.
"Stoke City supporters can be sure that I will always work really hard for the team and will never stop trying to find ways to score goals," Bozenik said on his arrival at the club.
“I had really good impressions from the owner of the Club, the Sporting Director and also the Manager. I felt a lot of trust and that was very important to me.
“I have seen the job the Manager has done with other strikers who are now playing at the highest level, and the small details he spoke about excited me for this challenge and played a big part in why I wanted to join the Potters.”
Boavista has not disclosed the terms of the deal, only stating that it has secured 15% of the economic rights of the forward. Stoke has also not detailed the operation but it has been reported to be a free transfer.
Former Portuguese champions Boavista have suffered from financial difficulties and after being relegated from the Primeira Liga last season which will see them compete in the local Porto league for the 2025/26 campaign.
